Maine photographer exploring the bitter fantastic thing about winter earlier than it snows once more

FALMOUTH, Maine – The previous few weeks have been an ideal stretch of climate for wild ice skaters in southern Maine. Chilly temperatures and scant snow have created huge stretches of clean, pure ice over lakes, ponds and rivers.
